Professor Ipsita Roy, Professor of Biomaterials, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Sheffield, is an expert in microbial biotechnology, natural biobased materials, and their biomedical and environmental applications. Professor Roy was awarded the prestigious Inlaks Scholarship to study for her Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge, UK. At Cambridge, she was awarded scholarships including the Churchill College Scholarship and the Cambridge University Philosophical Society Fellowship Award. Her postdoctoral work was at the University of Minnesota, USA. She has published over 100 papers in high ‘Impact Factor’ journals such as Biomaterials, ACS Applied Materials Interfaces, with an H index of 45. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3). Her group is focussed on the production of novel natural and sustainable polymers such as Polyhydroxyalkanoates, Bacterial cellulose, Alginate and their biomedical and environmental applications. She is an editor of Scientific Reports and Biomedical Materials. Her total grant portfolio is more than 14 million pounds. She has many patents, and she is in the process of spinning out a company called PHAsT, focused on the production of biobased materials for biomedical applications.< br>

William Mendes Godoy graduated in Chemical Engineering from Faculty of Roseira in 2017. In 2018 he started his post-graduation at the University of São Paulo (USP), obtaining a Master’s degree in 2021. That same year he started his PhD at USP focusing on polymerization. At the moment he is developing part of his doctorate at Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP) as a research intern.

Aibing Yu: Professor Yu specialized in process metallurgy, obtaining BEng in 1982 and MEng in 1985 from Northeastern University, PhD in 1990 from University of Wollongong, and DSc in 2007 from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He is currently Sir John Monash Distinguished Professor, Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Suzhou), Monash University. He is a world-leading scientist in particle/powder technology and process engineering. He has authored/co-authored >1,000 papers (including >800 collected in the Web of Science) and is recognised as an authority in particle packing and flow, particulate and multiphase processing, and simulation and modelling. His research has generated a significant impact in mineral, metallurgical and materials, and related industries. He is Editor of Powder Technology, Regional Editor of Granular Matter, and on the editorial board of ~20 learned journals. He is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards and fellowships including ARC Federation Fellowship, AAS Ian Walk Career Award and AIChE Thomas Baron Award. He was elected to Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering in 2004, and Australian Academy of Science in 2011, and Foreign Member (Academician) of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2017.

Moris S. Eisen immigrated to Israel in 1977 from Colombia. He received his Ph.D. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem under the supervision of Prof. Jochanan Blum. In 1990 as a Weizmann Postdoctoral Fellow, he joined Prof. Tobin J. Marks’ group at Northwestern University. In 1992 he was awarded the State of Israel Alon Fellowship and joined the Department of Chemistry at the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology (since 2007, Schulich Faculty of Chemistry). Since 2003, he is a Full Professor and has served as the Head of the Institute of Catalysis Science and Technology at the Technion. He is the incumbent of the Samuel O. Friedlander Academic Chair in Chemistry. In 2022, he became the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic and Research Affairs at the Guangdong-Technion Israel Institute of Technology, in Shantou, China.

Prof. Junwang (John) Tang is a Member of Academia Europaea, a Royal Society Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellow, Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of IMMM, Carbon Neutrality Chair Professor of Materials Chemistry and Photo- thermo Catalysis and the Founding Director of Industrial Catalysis Center in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University, China and an adjunct Professor at University College London, UK. He received his BSc in Chemistry from the Northeastern University (1995), MSc in Materials from the Institute of Metal Research (1998), and PhD in Physical Chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (2001), China, respectively. Tang’s research interests encompass coupling themo-catalylsis and photo-catalysis for small molecule activation (eg. H2O, N2, CO2 and CH4), microwave catalysis (e.g. chemical plastic recycling), and the investigation of the underlying charge dynamics and kinetics by state-of-the-art spectroscopies. In parallel, he also explores the design of the intensified chemical reactors for the above-mentioned processes, resulting in >230 papers published in Nature Catalysis, Nature Energy, Nature Materials, Nature Reviews Materials, Chemical Reviews, Chem. Research by his group is mainly focused on the development of novel methods for carbon–carbon and carbon–heteroatom bond formation through transition metal catalyzed C–H functionalization.

Dr. Bo Li is currently an assistant professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kennesaw State University, USA.Dr. Li’s research aims to leverage the self-assembly of active functional materials to enable transformative manufacturing technology and develop innovative electronic materials.There are two fundamental challenges in the field: 1. understanding the charge transport in the self-assembled systems; 2. controlling the self-assembly under non-equilibrium conditions. His research directly addresses the fundamental scientific issues in these systems by leveraging a unique set of skills in innovative materials synthesis and characterization. He received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015, focusing on fluid confined self-assembly of functional nanomaterials. Later at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a postdoc, he studied the charge transport mechanisms at single molecule level using customized scanning tunneling microscopy. To date, he has published 37 peer-reviewed papers in journals including Angew. Chem., ACS Nano, JACS, Chem. Sci., Nature Comm., ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces,with H-index of 22.

Dr. Nadeem Elhussieny is an accomplished senior researcher in the field of microbiology and biotechnology, currently affiliated with Mushlabs GmbH, Germany and the National Research Centre, Egypt. He completed his Master's degree in Microbial biotechnology from Helwan University, Egypt, where he also gained experience as a practical microbiology instructor. Dr. Elhussieny's Ph.D. was completed with the support of a DAAD scholarship earned from Jacobs University Bremen and the City University of Applied Science Bremen, Germany, with his research centered on biocatalysis using fungal biomass. Dr. Elhussieny has held several academic positions, including that of Microbial Biotechnology lecturer at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia and Future University, Egypt. Additionally, he has co-investigated numerous research projects in both the EU and Middle East. Later, in 2013, I completed my Ph.D. in Immunology from Al-Azhar University in Cairo.After completing my studies, I started my career in academia and began working as a Lecturer of Immunology at Jazan University's Biology Department in the Faculty of Science in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2008 to 2014. Then, I have worked as an Assistant Professor of Immunology at Jazan University from 2015 to this day. Prior to joining Jazan University, I worked as an Assistant Researcher at the Immunology and Allergy Unit at Ain Shams University Hospitals from 2002 to 2008, where I conducted research for my Master and Ph. D. degrees. Additionally, I worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at First Lab in Cairo, Egypt, from 2001 to 2007.Throughout my career, I have participated in various workshops and training programs, which have expanded my expertise and knowledge in the field of immunology. Biography: Sunaina S Patil is a research scholar in the Department of Chemical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal, India. She submitted her thesis on her Ph.D. work titled “A Study on the Effect of Transition Metal Dopants in Ceria Praseodymium Catalyst for Soot Oxidation Activity and its Kinetics.” She completed her Master of Technology (M.Tech) by research in Industrial Pollution Control at NITK, Surathkal. She has worked as a Project Assistant for various funded projects in the same Department. Sunaina has authored/co-authored 11 peer- reviewed international research publications. Shweta M. Following my undergraduate degree (got 86.23 % with a university topper), I am pursuing a Master's program at the Department of Chemical Engineering in Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad (got 9.45 CGPA), and with it, I deepened my understanding of the fascinating world of chemical engineering and carried out some innovative work. Dr. Rammohan Pal obtained his M.Sc. in 2001 in Chemistry from University of Calcutta, India. He worked as a DBT-project fellow at the Biological Department of Chemistry, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Sciences (IACS), Kolkata, India and as a UGC-JRF at the Natural Product Laboratory, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderebad, India. He carried out his predoctoral research work at the Department of Chemistry, Jadavpur University under the supervision of Prof. Asok Kumar Mallik.
