Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano-/microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. He has also worked extensively on use of advanced materials (e.g., graphene) for corrosion mitigation, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion and corrosion-mitigation of magnesium alloys (including for the use of magnesium alloys for aerospace, defence and bioimplant applications). Prof Singhis a senior professor at Monash University, Australia. He is a Guest Professor at ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2020, 2023, 2024), US Naval Research Lab, Indian Institute of Science, and University of Connecticut. He worked as a scientist at Indian Atomic Energy and as a post-doc fellow at University of New South Wales, Australia. Prof Singh’s professional distinctions and recognitions include: Guest Professor of ETH Zurich, Editor of a book on Cracking of Welds (CRC Press), Lead Editor of a book on Non-destructive Evaluation of Corrosion (Wiley), Editor-in-Chief of an Elsevier and an MDPI journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and numerous plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 275 peer-reviewed international journal publications and 15 book chapter, and several competitive research grants (that includes 4 Discovery, 7 Linkage and one ITRH grants of Australian Research Council). Prof Singh has supervised 60 PhD students. His vibrant research group at Monash University comprises of PhD students from different disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Mining Engineering, and Science) as well as from different cultural backgrounds (Australian, Middle-eastern, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, African, North American and Israeli).

Prof. Chung is a Jade Mountain Chair professor (Yushan Scholar) at the Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology of NTUST, Taiwan. Before joining NTUST, he was a Provost’s Chair Professor at the ChBE department of NUS in 2011-2021. His research focuses on polymeric membranes for clean water, clear air, clear energy and pharmaceutic separation. In 2005-2008, he worked as a Senior Consultant for Hyflux, led and built its membrane research team. J. Joshua Yang is a professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California. He was a professor of the ECE department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 2015 and 2020. He spent about 8 years at HP Labs between 2007 and 2015, leading the emerging devices team for memory and computing. His current research interest is Post-CMOS hardware for neuromorphic computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence, where he published several pioneering papers and holds 120 granted and about 60 pending US Patents. He is the Founding Chair of the IEEE Neuromorphic Computing Technical Committee, a recipient of the Powell Faculty Research Award and a recipient of UMass distinguished faculty lecturer and UMass Chancellor's Medal, the highest honor of UMass. He serves on the Advisory Boards of a number of prime international journals and conferences, including serving as an associate editor of Science Advances. Dr. Yang is a Clarivate™ Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Cross-Field and the Top Best Scientists in the Research.com list in the Electronics and Electrical Engineering category for 2022. He was elected to the IEEE Fellow and the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Fellow for his contributions to resistive switching materials and devices for nonvolatile memory and neuromorphic computing.

Richard J. Spontak, a Distinguished Professor at NC State University, received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and pursued post-doctoral research at Cambridge University before joining P&G in 1990 and NC State in 1992. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed journal papers. He has received numerous research awards including the NC State Holladay Medal for Excellence, the ACS (PMSE) Tess Award, the SPSJ International Award, the IChemE Global Research Project Award and Underwood Medal, the ACS (Rubber) Chemistry of Thermoplastic Elastomers Award, and the IOM3 Colwyn Medal. An elected APS, IOM3, ACS-PMSE, and RSC fellow, he is a Jefferson Science Fellow and a member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences.

He is Team Leader in RIKEN, Center for Emergent Matter Science and he is Professor Emeritus, Tohoku University. He is Fellow of the Japan Institute of Metals and Materials and Fellow of Korean Society of Microscopy. He has been involved in high resolution electron microscopy and analytical electron microscopy for more than 30 years. He is the author of books “High-Resolution Electron Microscopy for Materials Science” and “Analytical Electron Microscopy for Materials Science”. He is currently interested in electromagnetic-field observation of advanced materials by electron holography, in particular, in electron holographic observation of collective motion of electrons. Ungyu Paik is a distinguished professor in the Department of Energy Engineering at Hanyang University in Korea. He got his Ph.D. in the Department of Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University in 1991 and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the USA. In 1999, he joined Hanyang University as a professor. His research interests focus on the synthesis and engineering of nanomaterials for use in wearable devices, chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) processes, and energy devices such as Li-ion batteries and next-generation batteries. He served as a minister in the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy of Korea from 2017 to 2018, which acknowledged his expertise and insights. Upon returning to academia, he has been consistently recognized as a highly cited researcher (HCR) by Clarivate Analytics, being ranked in the top 1% of scientists in the "Crossfield" for three consecutive years (2020-2022). He has collaborated with global companies such as Samsung Electronics and Samsung SDI, and made significant contributions to the industry. Dr. Hicham Es-soufi is a senior research fellow, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences the Meknes, University Moulay Ismail, Meknes, Morocco. He is a director of studies and professor at the High School of Engineering, ESGCNT, Meknes, Morocco. He is an invited professor at the Institute Technique of Agriculture, Morocco. Prof. Sergey Kukushkin, Doctor of Science, PhD. He was born in 09. March 1954. Now is Head of laboratory of Problems of Mechanical Engineering, Russian Academy of Sciences (IPME RAS). Field of scientific interests: materials science and engineering, solid state physics, phase transitions, physics of semiconductors. Current research interests: thin films growth, growth of wide band gap semiconductors and nanostructures. Prof. S.A. Kukushkin is an author of over 460 scientific papers, including monographs and 13 major reviews.

Prof. Guangxin Wang graduated from University of Bremen, Germany with a PhD degree in 1990, and then worked as a post-doctor for 5 years at GKSS Research Center, Germany. After serving at Zhejiang University for a short time, he started in 1997 to work for Honeywell Electronic Materials, Kemet Electronics and Williams Advanced Materials in the U.S. , holding senior technical positions such as chief engineer and chief scientist respectively. In 2015, he joined Henan University of Science and Technology, China.He has been active in the research and development of new technologies, new processes and new materials for a long time, and has published 1 book, 180 papers, 10 US invention patents and 32 Chinese invention patents.

Dr. Hideyuki Kanematsu, Ph.D. FASM (a Fellow of ASM International, the USA), FIMF (a Fellow of IMF, the United Kingdom) is a Specially Appointed Professor in the Collaborative Research Promotion Center at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) (KOSEN), Suzuka College in Japan. After holding many administrative positions in the college (Dean of the Department of MS and E, 2010–2014, Deputy President, 2014–2018, etc.), he is currently the leader of the Materials Science Unit of a national project called GEAR 5.0, which is promoted by NIT KOSEN and aims at industry-academia collaboration and social implementation. Dr. Kanematsu has more than 40 years of experience as an academic researcher on interfacial phenomena between materials and environments from the viewpoint of Physical Chemistry. He is now particularly interested in biofilms and the interfacial phenomena between metallic surfaces and organisms from an environmental science point of view. He holds a B.Eng. (1981), an M.Eng. (1983), and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering (1989) all from Nagoya University. He is a member of the National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF, the USA), as well as the Institute of Metal Finishing (IMF, the UK), the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS, the USA), ASM International (the USA), Electrochemical Society (ECS, the USA), American Chemical Society (ACS, the USA), the Japan Institute of Metals (JIM) and the Iron and Steel Institute of Japan (ISIJ), Surface Finishing Society of Japan (SFSJ, Japan), the Electrochemical Society of Japan (ECSJ), the Japan Society for Heat Treatment (JSHT), Japan Thermal Spray Society (JTSS), etc. He is still very active as a member and board member of these organizations. He also has many honors and publications to his name. He was awarded a Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement award for his Outstanding Career, Scientific Achievement Award Winner, and Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award.

Prof. Dr. Nataša Novak Tušar has been the head of the Laboratory for catalysts and research program Chemistry of catalysts for clean air in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Technology at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana, Slovenia, since 2022. After receiving her PhD in chemistry from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, she was an individual Marie Curie fellow at the ELETTRA synchrotron and the University of Trieste, Italy, from 2003-2004. Her research interests include catalyst/photocatalyst design and development in heterogeneous catalysis for environmental and energy applications. Since 2018, she is a full professor and director of the PhD programme "Materials" at the University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia. She is a member of the governing bodies of ENMIX (European Nanoporous Materials Institute of Excellence) and EFCATS (European Federation of Catalysis Societies). She is a member of the editorial boards of the journals Catalysis communications and Frontiers in chemistry.

Dr. Shu-Lin Bai is full professor at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Peking University, China. He obtained BS (1983) on Materials Science and Technology and MS (1986) on Experimental Mechanics from Dalian University of Science and Technology, China respectively, then Ph.D degree (1993) on Mechanics of Materials from Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures de Paris, France. His expertise is in the area of polymer composites filled with particles and fibers, specifically on processing and thermal, electrical and mechanical properties. His current research focuses on design, manufacture and performance of thermal interface materials (TIMS) with ultrahigh through-plane thermal conductivity (TC) (maximum 614 Wm-1K-1). His group developed a series of TIMs consisted of fillers such as graphene, CNTs, h-BN, graphite film, high TC carbon fiber, and matrix such as silicon rubber, thermal plastic and thermoset. They show high performance on temperature control of CPU, LED, etc. He is founder, chairman/co-chairman of Asia-Europe Symposium on Processing and Properties of Reinforced Polymers. He has published more than 160 journal papers and 50 conference papers.

Michael Cho, Ph.D., is a professor of bioengineering and currently serving as Chair of the Bioengineering Department at the University of Texas at Arlington since 2015. He is the Alfred R. and Janet H. Potvin Endowed Chair Professor and has been a Fellow in the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering since 2011. His current research interests include elucidation of mechanisms associated with traumatic brain injuries and repurposing FDA-approved drugs to develop potential therapeutics. He has published more than 270 peer-reviewed papers and conference proceedings. His research is supported by the Office of Naval Research, National Institutes of Health, and the Alfred R. and Janet H. Potvin Endowment.

Dr. Janusz Koziński has enjoyed a distinguished academic career in leading institutions in the USA, Europe, and Canada. He is an internationally-renowned higher education leader, researcher and entrepreneur, and one of the world’s most widely acknowledged experts in sustainable energy systems. He received the Gold Medal in 2022 at the Ontario Professional Engineers Awards Gala. Educated in Kraków, Poland, he subsequently conducted research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and spent much of his academic career at McGill University where he was Associate Vice-Principal for Research & International Relations. Born in Toulouse (France), Souraya Goumri-Said is associate professor of Physics at Alfaisal University (Riyadh, KSA). She received her PhD degree from the Bourgogne University in Dijon (France) in 2004. Souraya spent one year in Val de Marne University as temporary assistant professor then joined the condensed matter group in physics department of technical university of Kaisterslautern in Germany on 2005. From 2006 to 2010, she was awarded different research fellows in France and Belgium as postdoctoral and assistant professor at Maine University (Le Mans, France) from 2006 to 2008. Then she worked as researcher at Namur University (Belgium) from 2008 to 2010. Souraya worked and managed an industrial project within Arcelor Mital research and development department in collaboration with three universities in Wallonie region in Belgium. From July 2010, she was employed at KAUST University (Saudi Arabia) before joining Georgia Tech whereshe worked as research scientist at the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Center for Organic Photonics and Electronics. Her main areas of research are density functional theory and computational approaches applied to material science and modeling the physical properties of functionalized materials such as perovskites, ceramics, carbides, nitrides, and materials for storage hydrogen. She also specializes in modeling optical, photonic devices and nanostructures for photovoltaic applications and renewable energies using machine learning approaches.Recently she is interested to computational biophysics related to antiviral molecules such as COVID19. Souraya Goumri-Said is editor of open Physics (former the central European journal of physics) within Dedegruyter edition since 2008 and named Advisory Editorial Board Member at Computational Condensed Matter (Elsevier edition) since 2018. Dr. Souraya has published numerous peer reviewed articles (176 papers, 1 patent, 6 chapters and books with h-index=30) in a variety of high impact journals and prestigious editions, including Nature-Springer, American Chemical Society (ACS), American physical Society (APS), Royal society of Chemistry (RSC), Wiley, Elsevier and MDPI editions.Dr. Souraya has presented her research work at international conferences and meetings and contributed as member of scientific committee and invited speaker. Dr. Souraya has been bestowed with multiple research grants and awards in recognition of his research,teaching, and service including Faculty Award for Research Excellence at the level of college and university (2019, 2021 and 2022) at Alfaisal University, and the8thLeadership Excellence for Women Awards & Symposium (LEWAS) in December 2022.

Dr. Rafi Tarefder is a Professor of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Mexico, USA. He serves as an Associate Director of a federally funded transportation center: Southern Plain Transportation Center (SPTC). Dr. Tarefder’s research focuses on a wide spectrum of topics, from applied and design-focused to theoretical, principally in construction materials and design. He has made significant contributions to education and research in the field of engineering by advancing mechanics-based understanding and promoting nanomaterials and nanotechnology. One major thrust of his research was developing novel methods using atomic force microscopy and nanoindentation techniques to evaluate moisture effects on adhesion and cohesion at the nanoscale, which has led to improvements in understanding the fundamental mechanisms of moisture damage in construction materials. Dr. Tarefder has graduated 38 PhD and MS students and mentored 6 postdocs and junior faculty. He has served as PI or co-PI on over $16M in external research grants and published over 428 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles (189J, 239C). He has authored a textbook as well. Dr. Tarefder is the Chair of the Annual Paving and Transportation conference (since 2012), which is the biggest in the southwestern part of USA. He serves as an Associate Editor of the ASCE Journal of Geomechanics and as the General Secretary of the International Association for Computer Methods and Advances in Geomechanics society. Previously, he has organized (Chair) a US-China workshop sponsored by National Science Foundation. He has received several awards for his scholarly work including the prestigious NSF CAREER award, and the John Booker Excellent Medal from the IACMAG society.

Hyung-Ho Park is a professor in the Materials Science & Engineering Department of Yonsei University in Korea since 1995. His research is mainly focused on the preparation, characterization, and application of various functional materials including thin film materials, nanomaterials, and nanoporous materials including aerogels. Thin film functional materials include transparent conducting oxides for LED, photovoltaic devices, and GMR for resistive RAM, etc. Concerning with aerogels research, Park established a ‘Aerogel Materials Research Center’ from 2020, supported by a National Research Foundation of Korea. In AMRC, synthesis of inorganic, organic, and inorganic-organic hybrid aerogels are being investigated, especially formation of compound aerogels is included. Furthermore, to overcome the brittle nature of aerogel materials, multi-compositional, multi-dimensional, and multi-scaling approaches are being investigated. Through these works, applications of aerogels to thermal insulation systems, in aeronautical domains, for environment clean up and protection, heat storage devices, transparent windows, thickening agents in paints, etc. are also being studied.

Dr. Celine Hin holds the position of an associate professor in the Materials Science and Engineering department at Virginia Tech. She obtained her Ph.D. from The Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique (CEA) and the Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG) in France. Her research primarily revolves around investigating the influence of microstructure on material performance and developing predictive methods to enhance the properties and reliability of materials. A particular emphasis of her work lies in the exploration of interfaces and phase transitions.

My lab is interested in studying the epigenomics of cellular regulation in embryonic stem cells and cancer. We investigate basic questions related to differentiation, cell cycle, chromatin, DNA methylation, and RNA, and also develop new tools to enhance the resolution and capacity of single cell genomics and epigenomics measurements.

Dr. Mohsen Motahari-Nezhad Specializes in Heat transfer, Nanotechnology, Condition monitoring, Machine fault diagnosis, Acoustic emission, Experimental and numerical methods, Machine learning and Artificial neural networks in industry, academia, and government research. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, Master’s degree from Iran University of Science and Technology, and his Ph.D from Shahid Beheshti University, Iran; all in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently a faculty member at Technical and Vocational University, Iran. Since 2022, he has been the dean of the Technical and Vocational University, Zabol branch. Prior to his current position, he worked at the Mapna Locomotive Company, Iran, analyzing the stability and control of the proposed noise attenuation systems. He also worked at the Iran Khodro Powertrain company investigating acoustic emission based fault diagnosis models. As a result of scientific research he has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed SCI and SCI-e Journals and reputed international conferences, also he has owned two patents with Hirsch index 7, and 239 citations. He is also an active reviewer of various SCI indexed journals.

She has an extensive experience of 23 years to her credit. Her research interests involve synthesizing semiconducting nanomaterial using green methods for photocatalytic applications; degradation of recalcitrant organic pollutants, hydrogen generation, CO2 reduction to provide efficient and affordable solution to the industry. She has to her credit SIXTEEN PATENTS and published more than 50research papers in refereed journals with leading publishers. She is Associate Editor of Frontiers Journal and Guest editor of Frontiers of Material Journal. She has published 11 book chapters with leading publishers viz Springer, Elsevier and Novaand published book with Springer on Green Photo-catalytic material has contributions from authors of 16+ countries and next books (Photocatalysis for Environmental Remediation and Energy Production) and (Advanced Nanomaterials for Environmental & Biological Applications) are under process with Springer. She has spearheaded the prestigious DST-NRDIO sponsored bilateral Indo-Hungarian Research Project(2016-2020) with a cumulative funding of 1.74 Crore. She has bagged a second DST-NRDIO projectin 2021 with Prof Pravin, and Prof Sameer, IIT Delhi. She has completed a Consultancy Project with Dr Amrish Chandra, AIP, Amity on Evaluation of Anti-microbial peptides, University of Sapienz, Rome. She has been invited as a speaker to present her ground-breaking research in many conferences Nationally and Internationally. She has been invited as a research scientist thrice at University of Szeged, Hungary, Europe where her work was well appreciated. During her visit to Hungary, shewas awarded a certificate of appreciation as a Principal investigator of exemplarily collaboration by University of Szeged, Hungary in June 2019. She was Invited as an expert on Door Darshan Science, Initiative of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, implemented and managed by Vigyan Prasar (VP) to join their Flagships show "Science this week" on the Topic: “Science behind Degradation of Recalcitrant Organic pollutants in water and hydrogen generation from water splitting using Green Material” the program was telecast in April 2021 on Door darshan.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeCftsPgxtY&t=1223s She has been initiator & drive engine to formulate MoUs with “University of Szeged, Hungary &University of Miskolc, Hungary”has helped stir the career of many students by helping them to get research scholarship and continues to do so. 10 students have already completed their major project and summer internships from Hungary and two (Mohit and Nikita) are doing Post doc after completing their PhDs under joint supervision of Prof Klara and Seema Garg. One more PhD student(Ms Harshita) has also got the opportunity for Post Doc position from Hungary after submitting her Thesis in June- 2022. She is actively involved in International collaborative research with Hungary, Italy, Germany, Austria and Russia. She is presently supervising two students towards their doctoral degree and has supervised many post graduate students. Four students have successfully submitted their Thesis and waiting for their PhD defense. She has also jointly supervised an International Ph.D. student.
