Dr. Zhongwei Chen is Canada Research Chair (CRC-Tier 1) Professor in Advanced Materials for Clean Energy at the University of Waterloo, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Director of Waterloo Center for Electrochemical Energy (WCEE), Associate Editor of ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (ACS-AMI),and Vice President of International Academy of Electrochemical Energy Science (IAOEES). His research interests are in the development of advanced energy materials and systems for fuel cells, metal-air batteries, and lithium-ion batteries. He has published 3 book, 11 book chapters and more than 450 peer reviewed journal articleswith over 45,000 citations with a H-index of 120 (GoogleScholar)He is also listed as an inventor over 50 US/international patents, with several licensed to companies internationally. He was the recipient of the 2016 E.W.R Steacie Memorial Fellowship, the fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering in 2017, the Rutherford memorial medal from The Royal Society of Canada in 2017.since2018, Dr. Chen was ranked as the Global Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics. He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 2019.

Philip W. T. Pong received a B.Eng. from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2002 with 1st class honours. Then he obtained a PhD in engineering at the University of Cambridge in 2005. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Magnetic Materials Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for three years. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).His research interest focuses on the fault detection, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection of power grid. He is the Founding Director of the Green Technology Research and Training Laboratory, leading the research and education activities of offshore wind energy at NJIT. Soshu Kirihara is a doctor of engineering and a professor of Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University, Japan. In his main investigation “Materials Tectonics as Sustainable Geoengineering” for environmental modifications and resource circulations, multi-dimensional structures were successfully fabricated to modulate energy and materials flows effectively. Ceramic and metal components were fabricated directly by smart additive manufacturing, design and evaluation (Smart MADE) using high power ultraviolet laser lithography. Original stereolithography systems were developed, and new start-up company “SK-Fine” was established through academic-industrial collaboration.

Dr. Faisal Manzoor Arain is an experienced construction project management professional and academic leader with an MS and PhD in Construction Project Management. He has extensive experience of working at management and leadership positions in industry and academia in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Canada. Vasudevanpillai Biju is a Professor and the Director of the Promotion Office of International Alliance at the Research Institute for Electronic Science and Graduate School of Environmental Science at Hokkaido University. He assumed this position after a research career as a scientist and a senior scientist at AIST, Japan (2004-2015), a PRESTO researcher at Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST, 2010-2014), a visiting Scientist at the University of Texas at Austin, USA (2007), a postdoctoral fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA (2003-2004), a JSPS postdoctoral fellow at AIST, Japan (2002-2003), and a research scientist at Angstrom Technology Partnership, Japan (2000-2002). Paul Grunow has completed his Ph.D at the age of 30 years at Technical University Berlin and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (former Hahn-Meitner-Institut in Berlin-Wannsee)and postdoctoral studies at COPPE/UFRJ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is the general manager of Trinity Solarbeteiligungen GmbH, an investment company in renewable energies. Before, he co-founded three companies in the area of photovoltaics based in Berlin, i.e. Solon SE, Q-Cells SE, PI Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin GmbH. He has published more than 50 papers in reputed journals.

Tang Bingsong, Associate professor. He works at Zhejiang Guangsha Vocational and Technical University of Construction. He is a member of the Architectural Society of China. He is also a member of China Civil and Engineering Society. He is a youth editor of Journal of City Architecture. His interests cover PPP projects, conflict and dispute management in projects.
